the wait is over!! -- my tokico struts arrived today

well guys the holy grail is here at last! finally we have an option for aftermarket struts!

i had plans for the weekend but it looks like ill be cancelling them cuz i want these babies installed ASAP. look for my tokico/tein-s.tech review to come shortly

im waiting for this review...guys are bashin the tein ss' maybe these will be the new alternative. What rims/tires do you run? and do you have any braces on your car?

oem wheels/tires, and suspension is all stock. only mods so far are an injen cai and HFP muffler. my car isnt even 3 months old yet. ~5k miles

struts were $459, and i paid $530 shipped. you can get em under 500 shipped but i had to pay $35 ca sales tax

whats the difference between these, HFP struts and stock struts?

Just guessing here, but i bet the Tokikos are stiffer than the HFP. By that I mean more low speed damping which is what is used in cornering. Mid and High speed damping might be softer than the HFP for a better ride on BIG bumps or to give it a better ability to go over curbs at your local track. Of course this is all just guessing because i haven't seen the shock dyno of an HFP set up.

Take some close up shots of the bottom bushing mounts (rear) and the top threaded area (rear) as well as the mounting area where the front strut bolts go (front).
