Any way to tell if ive got HFP suspension or not?

I know it sounds like a retarded question, but since i bought this car i keep finding little things that the previous owner had already done to the car very OEM like HFP stuff lol. That being said, my car feels much more agile than any other stock Si i have ever driven and ive driven lots of new ones before i found this steal on my slightly used one. It handles like its on rails, and sticks the road very well. My question is, is there any way my looking at the struts springs ect( from under my car and not taking the wheels off), that I would be able to tell if I had the HFP suspension kit on my car?

thanks,
Josh

umm... is it lower than a stock si???

I think the HFP kit is a different color, but I cant remember. Call CHH (www.collegehillshonda.com)and ask them if there is a way... or wait for someone with a definative answer.

Park next to another Si that definatly doesnt have it.. the drop is very minimal so they need to be near each other. My best friend picked up an 06 and when they were side by side his car looked lower, we drove each others cars and the differance was immediate.

Count the coils on the springs stock has 4 compared to 3 coils up front and the rears are 6 instead of 7.

look at the part number if you can see it behind the wheel....it should be #####-SVB on a white sticker. Let me know what it says and I could probably tell you if it's HFP or not.

Aftermarket rims ???

In your post #4 you stated that you have aftermarket rims, therefore you did not know if you car was lower. Rims have no effect on the ride height. Ride height is determined by the diameter of the tires. The Si comes with 215/45-17 OEM tires. The only way your ride height would have a noticeable different would be if the car has lower or higher series tires. For example, on a OEM 17" rim a 50 series has a higher ride height or a 40 series tire has a lower ride height. Different manufactures tires will differ in size, but not enough for the naked eye to notice. As to the easiest way to tell if a car has been lowered is by the amount wheel gap there is between the fender and tire. The closer the gap the lower car.

you gotta check the part number like codeman said. when i changed mine out the only difference i can tell from eyeing it was the part number. counting the coils might work also but to be sure the part number is really the only way to do it. just take off one of the rear wheels and check the strut for the number.

hfp suspension for the coupe is Part# 08W60-SVB-100

hand test.

Take your hand and see how many fingers it takes to make it snug from the tire to the fender..do it on yours, and then a stock Si..
