Factory Alignment adjusment, meanind TOe adjustment and the factory crash bolts/slip bolts up front, they = about -.8 degrees of camber up front. Front sway bar changes R-compund tires any size within Stock wheel diameter and offset withing .25 offset adjustment. Thats all thats all thats really allowed in GS NC Maybee one day

M. Strut bars are permitted with all types of suspension. Strut bars may be mounted only transversely across the car from upper right to upper left suspension mounting point and from lower right to lower left suspension mounting point. No other configuration is permitted. Additional holes may be drilled for mounting bolts. Only bolt-on attachment is permitted. Interior trim panels may be modified to allow installation of strut bars. Holes or slots may be no larger than necessary and may serve no other purpose. This does not permit any modifications to the frame or unibody beyond the allowed mounting holes. The multiple mounting points makes it illegal. I know Megan makes the other braces that just have two mounting points that go from side to side, but the H brace is no go. |

For max front grip, go with an LX front bar and wider tires (235s or 245s). 1/8" total toe out minimum with max negative camber you can get from the factory crash bolts. In the rear, stiffer shocks are a must. The only options right now are custom DA Konis or you can buy honda93's custom Bilsteins. When Koni finally comes out with the "sports", they will be fine too. Go with narrower rear tires (215s or 225s). Toe should be at a minimum of 0 in the rear and if you could get some toe out, it will help the car rotate. Note that aggressive toe settings as noted above will eat tires on the street, so buyer beware. It's best to dial in toe at the track if you can. If not, 1/8" out up front and 0 in back are OK, and should be somewhat friendly to tire wear. With the Minis supposedly going to DS next year, GS should open up to cars like the Si and Sentra Spec V. |

I suspect the new Civic would need a front spring rate in excess of 800 lb./inch to get the same cornering ability without the wheelspin issue. Frankly, anyone with an Si who is going to STX or SM anyway should be putting a Quaife or ATS front differential anyway. That right there would solve 90% of the wheelspin issues, although the cost of entry is higher, but the Si's OEM LSD flat out sucks. My LX has less wheelspin and it has no LSD! Right but in theory with the right damper setup it could be compensated for unless a smaller front bar was found, the LX is what 25mm thats still pretty big.
Strut bar NO!!! The only way a FSB could help with corner exit wheel spin would be to reduce the effectivness of it meanig its size. |
