2" drop?

Which springs could I get for my r18 coupe that would give me a 1.8-2.0 drop? Is that too much? Also, which springs will give a comfortable ride, and which ones will prevent bottoming out? Thanks guys

i don't suggest you drop your car that low with springs..you'll mess everything up!
you're gonna need a whole kit. sway bars, springs, coilovers...

My friend had a 2.5" drop on his car for like 2 years on stock shocks.

Not that I'm suggesting that though.

Check out the sticky next time.

Neuspeed Race//// 2.0” / 2.0” //// (P)+-303in. lbs / +-460 in. lbs

If you want a comfortable ride I really wouldn't go that low.

Eibach sportlines will get you a really nice drop and still maintain a smooth ride.

what are u talking about how does a sway bar have anything to do with a 2 inch drop, its like like u will burn the shocks out in 20k miles cause u don't have a sway bar.
now on the otherhand a 2inch drop is a big ass drop and on stock struts they are toast but but i don't see how a sway bar has anything to do with this

i had a 1.5 front 1.4 rear drop on sportlines with konis,s on my sentra ....with backproblems not a good idea but the sentra is also notorious for very little suspension travel

IMO, a 1.8-2" drop is overkill on our cars without atleast a set of Yellow's to go along with that drop.

FG/FA's come pretty low in stock form compared to past and some present cars. I'm talking about suspension wise, our body is a different topic :P.

Personally, I have s-techs w/ 17x7.5 214/45 tires and they rub whenever going over huge inclines.

That kind of drop w/ no stiffer shock to help is asking to be bottom'd out. Cutting the bump stop might help, but still.

with any lowering spring i would do after market shocks... if u cant afford that then put ur money elsewhere. Not to be rude but a 2 inch drop won't make every motorist jaw drop and look at ur car so if thats what ur after then save the money just springs will burn the shocks out much faster then stock spring

blah blah blah. im not trying to impress other motorists. i like my car the way i want it to look. and about the struts blowing... theres a thread where everyone says that their struts were fine even with huge drops. ppl had them on their tegs with 2" drops and their struts were fine. ima go with somethin like 1.4, just need to figure out which springs to buy.

If you're not in a rush to get them, get ground control.

no need to get huffy puffy with me. Im just trying to do everyone a favor and get rid of the bad rep the honda guys get for slamming their cars to the ground then cruising around on blown struts for the next 20k miles before or if they fix them.
maybe others would argue differently but suspension is really not something that should ever be halfassed its just not safe imo

but that aside i have always trusted eibach over any other spring and never regretted it :)
