Honda designed different HFP kit for each car
If HFP sport suspension for the Si would fit the other cars, why would Honda make four different kits. Simple. Different engines weights effect dampening and spring rates. Different frame design (2dr or 4dr) also effect damping and spging rates.

It's like aftermarket suspension (Besides the HFP) they all fit on all civics no matter what model. There's no reason why they shouldn't bolt up. |

2628lbs 4dr lx manual
2657lbs LX manual trans 2769lbs EX auto trans 2886lbs Si 2904lbs 4dr GX auto 2945lbs 4dr Si If the only difference is Spring rate then it should be up to the buyer, to pick soft or hard. But without knowing the exact spring rate it would be a guessing game. But if the shocks are valved to match each car then it might be "best" to buy the correct part. I know for many decades now VW owners would swap out 4cyl springs for vr6 springs and so on. They had a huge chart of color codes on the springs for all the different spring rates. |
