So, I've been riding on the Megan Springs for about 3 months now and I figured I should probably do a review before it gets released to spark interest. Format duplicated via sickyute's Flex review:
Spec:
- Color: Orange (Mine are red)
- Lower rate: 1.5" Front, 1.5" Rear (Mine has a different, more aggressive drop)
- Springs rate: 250F & 220R
- MSRP: $129.95

Quality: 8.5 out of 10
When I first had it installed, I noticed alot of noise coming from the springs, particularly when driving over speedbumps and around dips (speedbumps, primarily). After driving it for a while now, the noises have gone away and everything is good.
Performance: 10 out of 10
Springs improve handling regardless of whatever brand you go with. I've taken turns extremely quickly in local canyons and on ramps when it's dead and definitely noticed that they improved handling. Pair this up with a set of h-braces, tie bars and a progress rear sway, and you're golden. The car handles great and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Of course, however, springs, without pairing it with a set of shocks, will not perform as well as a set of good coilovers, which my next investment would be.
Ride: 7.8 out of 10 (Applies to the Prototype Model)
The ride quality from the prototype was not the greatest.
I HATED taking dips and going over speedbumps because they would sometimes clunk (I have informed Megan already, so the new model should be revised when released and the issue should be corrected. This is why they have prototypes.). The setup we installed on my car was a much more aggressive looking style, with the front lower than the rear. Since then, we decided that it would be better to even the car out and get a similar drop from both ends.
I haven't tried another other spring setup on this particular car yet, so I can't really compare it to any others.
From a consumer perspective, I would still recommend getting them, primarily because they're affordable and do what they're supposed to do and make the car lot more aggressive. I'm happy to be running Megan products because they are an underdog alot of the times, and watching them get progressively better makes me feel like they are working harder to get feedback from consumers and improve on their platform. I have had no issues with customer services from them previously. :)
For any additional questions, I'd be glad to answer them. Hit me up via PM. Any additional feedback would definitely be appreciated so that I can take it up to Megan and see if we can get anything done for the 8th Civic.
Look forward to future posts about the Headers, Test Pipe, and some other goodies we're working on that are currently on the downlow.
