what is this iam feelin ?

ok so i don't thinks its body roll but i could be wrong while making sweeping turns at about 70+ i feel the car kinda rock side to side the faster i go the worse it becomes and imperfections in the road don't help aether i feel the tires griping good any body know what it is i am feeling? and how i can eliminate it? i am saving up for HFP suspension hoping it will solve my problem

-car rolls side to side on sweeping turns and
-how do i keep this from happening without having to decrease my speed
-iam looking for a more solid feel as well could this be done with chassis bracing?
or do i need to upgrade to a coil-over set up

Could be your VSA kicking in. Are you jerking on the wheel when you turn?

no, not jerking on the wheel and it cant be vsa cuz when i had my 02 civic it did it too even with a 22mm rear sway but on stock struts and shocks.
also it cant be blown struts aether i did the "bounce" test

My EP3 was solid as a rock with the 22mm & adjustable 24mm swaybar. It was lowered on Neuspeed race springs with stock shocks. I've yet to encounter said problem in my FA5 & I'm not lowered yet either. Getting the 22mm swaybar is on my list of mods for sure for the FA5.

I smell some Michelin MXM4's...

My old all-seasons had a slight float at sweeping turns, but my potenzas float when I let OFF the gas.

I don't have any problems with my Michelins squirming but that may be because I have them stretched on 17x8 rims. I could feel the difference when I had the OEM wheels swapped for my Traklites. The ride "firmed" up just alittle bit but like I said it could be because of the 8" wide wheel I'm running.

My expectations for the MXM4's is not vey high because of them being a All Season tire. I'm just saying the problems that other people are crying about is may be because of sidewall flex like you mentioned. I may have less sidewall flex due to the fact that my tires are stretched. The dealership I bought my FA5 from did the wheel swap for me & they had to ether the tires for the bead to seat. It took them over 2hrs to swap out my OEM rims to the Traklites. I'm planning on upping the tires to 235's once the OEM 215's are done.

it may be side wall flex but i doubt it because of previous experience my last car had 205 40 16 not much of a side wall there and it did the same thing my my SI is all stock just under 4000 miles on the tires 8/32 of tread on front and 9/32 on rear and i keep my tire pressure at 35 all around

are you running on teins? if so how do u like them ? i dont really plan on doing much track driving mostly canyons so i dont want to spend gobs of money on coil-overs and end up not liking them. if i was to get a set up i was thinking buddy club or tein.

its not how tall the sidewall is that will necessarily cause this. There are tires out there made for racing that have much more side wall than ur car has, it depends on how hard the sidewall is (in otherwords u do not need a 17 wrapped in rubber bands to handle well)

If you have driven 2 different cars though the same corner and gotten the same results, then that only leaves two things that were the same in both test. The driver and the trun. You don't always know what you are doing when driving a car. You might think you're driving smooth but without a trained professional in the car telling you what you are doing, then its hard to really know what you are doing. You are driving the car fast through a corner, so you are more than likely paying more attention to what the car is doing rather than what the driver is doing. If you turn in to sharp to late, the rate of body roll is fast which could cause the car to hit the bump stops and then bounce off them. Now, for the road. If the road has a set of dips or bumps, then that could explain what the car is doing.

Teins Suck. I've had SS and am on Flex and will be selling those in 2 weeks to go back to STOCK. (don't ask, i have a buyer, unless you wanna pay 1450)

ok so coming home today from work i went on the turn where i feel it the most i was thinking about what you guys said about how iam driving and how the road is and that is the problem ! the turn is a long sweeping left and ever 30 feet or so the road drops down and i noticed that ever time i went over the drop the car would drop down get more traction (i guess) on the right side kinda feels like the car starts moving left so i counter stear right. thus making the car rock side to side and this all happens very fast guess i never really stoped to think about what i was doing and not what the car is doing gotta start working on the driving skills.

thanx for the advice guys !

When I make fast lane changes, or any type of swerve at higher speed my car feels very unsettled. I know I am nowhere near the vehicle's/tire's limit so it doesn't worry me too much.

Also, when tracking the car on these same tires it was very difficult to get a good turn it. The car would dramatically under-steer for an instance before evening out.

I'm 95% sure it's my crappy all seasons taking there time to deform, but I can let you know next summer when I get new rubber :P.
