Ground Clearance With Tein

I am wondering what the ground clearance is on Si for people sitting on S-Tech springs. It's important cuz I scrape with my Z coming into my driveway so need to know. Thanks.

Thing is I am getting some Rota P45F 18x8 and I will drop it but either on S-Techs or H-Techs. If my dad sees the drop on S-Techs then I'm screwed so if it's not that noticable on 18's thne I'm fine but I saw htech's 18 Gram Lights on S-Tech and it looks amazing but I can't do anything "mechanical" to the car since my dad will sell it immediately if I do/he finds out.

All in all it's important. Lol. H-Techs are softer and less drop but we'll see.

DAD-OWNED .... seriously that SUCKS ... im going to guess you are like 17 years old right lol ...

if i were you .. id just leave the car alone .. is it really worth risking losing the car for some drop springs ?

Yeah I am 17, but what does age have to do with if I should drop it or not? The car is for my 18th ( 4 1/2wks). I can use the H-Techs cuz the drop isn't as bad. I am NOT leaving it stock height with 18's. My friend's LS looked like it was a 4x4 with 18's on stock springs, so hell no. I can't do any work on the engine anyways. Only "performance" I might be able to do is Borla catback, IF my dad says yes. He just wants the car to "sound good." Yeah it sounds okay stock but Borla = deeper. So Borla FTW.

Bump.

the only reason that i brought up the age thing is because of the fact that you said that u are unable to do anything to the car because your dad said NO ... the only way i could see that possible is if ure dad bought the car and that would be because you were 17 ...

im not knocking you on ure age at all .. i say good luck with the car :) .. just thought it funny that you couldnt drop the car cause ure dad said no ...

i will say this .. a 1.5" drop (the s techs) is going to be VERY noticable .. so u are better off sticking with the H techs if you dont wanna get busted

Yeah Ive been leaning towards the H-Techs since the smaller drop. The spring rate isnt the same so its' a softer ride; can be good and can be bad. I am waitin on a quote for the P45F's so we'll see. I'll keep you all updated...

I have s-tech springs, the ground clearance is good, just watch out for certain driveways, the front ground sensors rub(plastic molding).
It's a nice drop, doesn't quite tuck the stock wheels, with some 18's it should tuck a bit under the wheel well..

If you have the lip kit for the SI, it will be very low, I donn't have the lip kit, and the rubber/plastic molding under the fron t bumper is like literaly, 3-4 inches away from the ground. There's a thread on here somewhere with a before and after photos after installing some s-techs, look for it..
