Coilovers vs springs shocks suspension

Hello All

Want to get some opions on coilovers vs. let say HFP suspension kit. Trying to decide between Tein basic coilovers or the HFP suspension kit. There's about a 300 dollar difference between the Tein and HFP kit. My dilemma is 300 would allow me to get the front tie bar for the front, lower H-Brace for the rear and larger sway bar. My hopes are to lower the car (1 inch) and create a stiffer rear for traction at the track.

the main thing is that with most of tein kits, your suspension is completely adjustable. That includes rebound, dampening, & ride hight.

:sarcasm on:
to get JUST the results of an inch drop and better off-the-line traction at the drag strip, why not just get a good set of tires and then cut about a half coil off your stock springs?
:sarcasm off:

coilover susp.
front tie bar
lower H-brace
rear sway bar

for better launch traction or an inch drop, only the first thing on that list will contribute anything towards those goals.

i think what needs to happen is a more serious look at what your expectations are for your car and why you feel you are having the problems you are having.

traction - if your getting wheel hop, thus less traction, why not get really good tires and perhaps the ingalls stiffy. problem solved.

if you're dead set on lowering the car an inch. i would personally recommend the HFP suspension(coilovers, surprise!) because of the minimal drop, and that they come with matched dampers...that and in many ways i trust factory parts before aftermarket parts.

all that other stuff on the list has nothing to do with traction or getting a drop...so why is it there? especially if you're worried about saving money....

so drop and traction = tires, HFP, and a stiffy.....hehe
