JDM FD2 Access Modulo Suspension

Has anyone tried installing the JDM FD2 Access Modulo Suspension yet on their FG2? Probably a bit too early but the parts are now available through GT Motoring. Drop is supposed to be 10mm lower than Type-R stock.

Mmmm. :mouth watering:
I'd be all over these if I hadn't already dropped in the HFP suspension.

We need a guinea pig! These are supposed to be 10mm lower than OEM Type-R stock height. I'm eyeballing the HFP but am not content with the cosmetic droppage.

Hmm, this or the Mugen Type-R suspension...

...any more info on these? Spring rates? Damper specs?

I'm very happy with the HFP suspension (including the drop) and considering it costs less than 1/3 of the Modulo suspension, it is hard to compare the two. Cosmetically, I would like the HFP drop to be about another 1/8" lower, but with a driver in the car it actually looks almost perfect. I've had the 'perfect' drop before, but it did rub in certain situations and I'm not down with that anymore.

i don't know specifics, but i'm favoring them quite a bit because they are probably better suited for our cars than almost any set available currently....

If they fall in between the Mugen Sport and the Mugen Type-R suspension, I think you can call me sold.

OEM quality is guaranteed to work flawlessly with the car, but for $1,700.00, it sure would be nice to have a little adjustability. I would be sick to drop that amount of cash and have it be too firm for DD use.

Personally $ for performance, as of now the HFP kit is the best buy...Things will come along shortly that are a better option.

http://www.japanparts.com/db/partslist.php

for 1500....i wouldn't be surprised that gtmotoring takes pride in what it provides by jacking up prices.....my guess.

and by that site's information, it says there is an amount of adjustability (for fronts only) - not saying that it then becomes gospel, just saying.

i'm still interested.

Looks like it has a dual spring rate, judging from the pic?

Currently in Japan and my co-worker just got me the Type-R brochure and accessories catalog. The price on the Modulo suspension is 157,500 Yen, which is about $1360. The drop is 10mm from the Type-R suspension and only the front is 5-way adjustable.

^ Thanks for that info! Are there any extra parts required to make it work with the FG2?

Just a question for those who are already using the HFP suspension, how do you guys like it? how much different from the Si suspension? much stiffer or just a little?

Any FD2R suspension will NOT WORK in USDM cars, the lower front suspension mount is different. Non Type R suspension will work however.
