there are two gears on the perch for the rear spring set. One gear sets the height of the spring, the other gear locks the first gear at desired height setting. So if you spin the height gear all the way up (the lowest drop) that gear will be pinned against the perch itself and there will be no need to use the locking gear... so I remove it, before the install. You'll understand it more when u see the perch. I would take pics, but there's not much you can see when its already in the car.

To my knowledge, the Si and the EX have the same suspension set up... so I am gonna assume that the DX-G will be the same too. Somebody back me up?

Hey, you ever go on Beyond.ca? (general car forum centered in Calgary, i think) I've been on there for sometime.

so since you removed the locking gear, do you think there will be any complications in the future with spirited driving? I'm thinking theres another way to install it without removing the locking ring.. odd, I can't wait to get mine to take a look.

Thanks for the help! If i could rep again, I would.

yeah I do go on there, I've been a member on there for a pretty long time but not very active... I have something like 0.45 posts/day LOL. My username is "riced" whats yours?
