There's one person who did it on the forums but I forgot his SN. HE bought the HFP set and sold the springs and bought aftermarket springs.

If you can to you can do it, I'll bolt up. ANd the shocks may last pretty long.

Just wondering, why would you change springs on Honda designed suspension that is made to improve your handling. If you want to lower your car more than an inch, just put Progress or whatever on your stock struts/shocks.

I have a set of progress springs on my stock shocks. Am looking for a replacement as feel that the shocks are getting a bit soft (worn).

I am also looking for the possibility of using the FD2R stock shocks for the progress springs. But was advise that the FD2R shocks are different of a different construction (spring tray is different)

They change the springs because .8 inches is not low enough for them. And they want shocks that will last pretty long and handle better at the same time.

Thats what I'm saying. HFP struts/shocks are not designed for a lowering spring that are shorter than the .8 drop. Therefore, you are wasting money because you will wear out the HFP struts/shocks with the improper springs. So just put the lowering springs of your choice on the stock struts/shocks until you can buy the right struts/shocks that have adjustable damping to match your springs. This way your are not wasting money on something that will need to be replaced. JMHO

Well either way, your gonna have to replace it sooner or later. Why would it be better to use the stock shock over the HFP? The HFP shocks were made to be lowered .8 and the stocks were made to be lowered nothing. So wouldnt it be obvious that the HFP would be alot better to use. Plus you get better stiffness. Like what Jardiniboy said, I had the HFP springs/shocks at first but didnt like the drop so I bought new springs. Everything works fine. IMO, it handles much better than it did with the HFP springs.
