This is my problem, im on s-techs, and I have crazy negative camber in the rear. Do I need to buy the front camber bolts too, or will just the rear kit suffice? Dont care about handling, just tire life

Toe Rear = 0

EDIT by ERIC AKA bluroadster-toll booth operator- alignment specifications depend on the nature of driving. Driving on the twisties, one would want more - camber vice if one was driving on the highway all of the time where their style of driving would eat the inside of the tires.

A "race"/track day alignment is going to be even more wear but will handle better.
I tried to get somewhat close to the specs that were posted by the op for a good setup without killing the tires. Here is the screen after we finished.

Tried to go for:
Front: Camber -1.3 , Toe 0
Rear: Rear -1 , Toe 0

How does this look? What is SAI? It looks off.
(as for the camber on the right rear, we got it close enough, but will be doing it again next week because I realized that the rubber bushing on my skunk2 camber arm was torn and wasnt able to adjust it because it would change as the suspension moved anyway)

It was a pita to align this thing.. haha. It tracks perfect, and turns better now. Will be better once I finally get that bushing replaced and redo that wheel.

Just get rear camber arms and an alignment.

How much will the -1.5 up front and -1 rear settings kill my tires? I don't wanna kill my tires early.

So how much quicker would my tires die when running -1.5 up front and -1 in the rear? My dad keeps telling me I'll regret getting these settings because the mechanics say I'd have to get an alignment every 6-8 months -_-.

well my shop reinstalled my camber arms on the other set of holes this time. only now instead of having -1.5F -2.0R, the best they could adjust is -1.5F -0.5R. dont get whats up with my arms/car why i cant get -1.0R like i want.

wonder how -0.5R will handle compared to -2.0R...

The -0.5 will have more oversteer than the -2.0 but the -0.5 will have a slightly higher chance at snap oversteer than the -2.0.

You should be fine as long as you put a little spirit into your turning. If you drive 100 miles a day on the freeway, you might see some extra inside shoulder wear, but it won't be much. Think of it this way, -1 in the rear is what it is set at from the factory. Are you running camber bolts in the front? If you are, they can slip and thats probably what the tech is referring to. Get some nylon locking nuts and some locktite. It will be tought to get off, but should help with the slipage. Camber plates can slip too but their is nothing I know of to prevent it.

Well, I just don't want to decrease the wear dramatically, if its gonna be like only 500 miles shorter life-span, its not a big deal, I drive my car mostly local anyways. Will the new settings be harder to control? Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance.

this is exactly what i've been running for a little while w/o any problems w/ tire wear

the tires will deterioate faster if you push hard around all the corners but who does that really?

Awesome, just a quick question, I just need to tell the alignment shop to run "-1.5" up front and "-1" in the rear correct? And one pair of front camber bolts (one on each side) should do the trick right?

It doesn't matter if you install the front camber bolts, top or bottom does it?

My suspension tuner installed them in the bottom too. I was just wondering if it makes any difference.
