I've got the EX with Bridgestone Potenza's I believe.

I seriously can't wait to get some money and focus on handling. Nothing I love more than taking cloverleafs at 50 mph+..

Ok, honestly I don't know anything about setting up my suspension. So, lets say I went out and bought coilovers and front + rear camber kits... What do I do now? I obviously would install them but I know nothing about tuning suspension. Personally, I'm not a track guy but if I'm going to spend good money on tires, I want to be able to use them to their full potential.

Also, if I take it to a shop I know they could install everything for me but what about the tuning, do I have to bring numbers to let them know exactly what I want? Man! this sucks I wish I knew more, its frustrating when you don't know exactly what to do lol.

I don't want to be one of those guys that just drops their cars and then doesn't think twice about it. I knew about getting an alignment after lowering the car, but now it was said your must align the car again after putting on front and rear camber kits (makes sense). I just want to know all the factors that go into giving yourself a get suspension. Its like everywhere you look you only hear people talking about either springs or coilovers, never the other little things.

first: it's good to hear that you are curious and very cautious about how you approach modifying your suspension (that's a very good place to be).

as far as learning goes, i highly recommend setting time apart whenever you have it and read the stickies at the top of this susp. and brakes forum.
particularly this one and that one

get your head wrapped around the wealth in those, and then if you have questions, let us know.

good luck and try to be as patient as possible!

edit: wow, ok, so i just realized i hotlinked to this very thread.....soooooooooooooooo yeah. go back to page 1 and read up.

haha, i'm an idiot.

so pretty much ure saying that without a camber kit on the front and rear then the front and rear tires will not tread evenly? or can i just rotate my tires every 5-6k miles to have even tread without a camber kit?

HighRev, plus rep to you. for some reason you hang around this forum and answer the same questions over and over again. plus, you give solid ( pun intended) suspension advice.

when you get a camber kit, follow HiRev's FIRST post in this thread for advice on how to set your camber/toes.

The first post explains the resoning behind why going back tot he stock setup isnt ideal...

I can't help you cause I just dont know for looks and tire wear...I would say 0 toe and 0 camber, but that isn't right, I would assume stock settings would be better but then again I think that they have changed their alignment specs recently due to too much tire wear...I say read the first post follow that..

So I just got my camber kit and bolts put in last night. The rear we set to about -1.2 but the front was only adjustable to + or - .02 degrees. I only had one pair of bolts. We weren't sure if we were supposed to change out the upper bolt or the lower bolt. Its installedo on the upper camber bolt currently. Would bolting it on the bottom yield more adjustability or would you absolutely need 2 pairs of bolts to be able to get to the settings that you posted earlier that were ideal?

The stock bolts can get you -.75 degrees of camber alone, so something is not right. Maybe you should get another set of bolts. That way you will have lots of adjustment

I knew something was wrong.... I'm going to order another set of bolts today then.
The stock bolts do have adjustability correct? Maybe theywere only messing with the aftermarket bolt and not the stock lower bolt as well. That's probably why right?

If u are asking how much I'm lowered. I'm on skunk2 springs.

Stock bolts have no adjustment....Lower mount should produce more adjustability..Its just a pivot remember..
