Waiting for pic. Yeah, 8thgenuser you say someone with an Si had the same thing happen to him..huh? Wow...
I'm thinking you reinforce the metal tab, then you reinforce the endlink then I can imagine the metal tab simply breaking off. Hopefully not.

#29 - MellowGato - as long as the price stays below $30

How thick are you making these? If the price is right, and the thickness is also, I would consider buying 2 sets, so I can put one on each side of the tear-our point. Or are you designing them so that would not be necessary?

Thanks

Yeah for the price I'll pick up a set, is it just for the rear?

That was my inital idea but then thought cost would be too high for that so I have thicken the material and made it so one for each side can be used. I have also considered a new design that I will post later today, that will be even stronger than the original design.

Finishing the design of them...instead of the original design I am adding extra material to the end where the endlink connects for added strength.

The initial design is evidently completed. My guess on status is that the part will probably have to go through independent metallurgic strength analysis testing to ensure overall rigidity. Once complete, the prototype will be modified accordingly using only the finest of metals that the Earth has to offer. From that point, a test fitting will be performed to verify proper alignment, function and long time exposure to the vast array of elements that Mother Nature has to offer. If any modifications will be required as a result of these tests and other sophisticated development techniques applied, then the part will be updated within a controlled environment where strict quality controls are implemented. The end result will be a forged metal bracket of some sort that will be over-engineered to withstand the test of time. Each customer that places a pre-order for one bracket will receive a complementary bracket of the same form and function to apply to the other side of their car as well. This is of course a limited time offer provided to only those individuals that are exclusive members of the 8thCivic forum.

It will be made out of a noble metal without a doubt. I was considering iridium, but then decided on palladium.

On a serious note....I will get them to the machinist Wednesday he usually has a 3-4 day turn around so Monday of nexy week I would wager to say they will be in my hand

Here's the LCA bracket on my EX sedan. I have a 22mm Progress bar and CorSport V2 endlinks. Looks like there's another hole like the brackets on the coupes. Not sure if it's exactly the same, but it sure looks the same.
