Well you still can get them They won't hurt you any and will probably add a little extra reinforcment to your fix :)

Looks like this first set I will get 20 made, and I don't know if I will make em again I am still unsure of the cost of them just cause I have to send the drawings to the Waterjetter and get the quote.

Just out of blind, stinkin' curiosity, are these going to be steel or aluminum? I know you mentioned earlier that they could be welded (suggesting steel)... I'm surprised no one asked this yet.

Steel without a doubt. Its stronger than an equal thickness piece of aluminum.

The problem with steel is that iron rusts. Even stainless steel rusts. People are going to have to paint the reinforcement brackets or spray Rust-o-leum (or similar) to prevent corrosion if you do use steel.

Yeah but to get the tensile strength of steel the aluminum will have to be 20% thicker.

Depends on the grade of SS used. Maybe you could find a used Delorean, melt it down and make forged brackets.
