Why are there no aftermarket Shocks Available for the FG2 yet?

Plenty of coilovers and lowering springs, but I haven't seen any replacement shocks yet. I expect this will change with Koni and KYB jumping on the FG2 platform??

ALso for those who have lowered with springs only have the OEM shocks held up ok? Is the ride bouncy or flat at all? Just curious...i'll probably go the coilover route but if it's almost as good to just get lowering springs I'd consider. (I never will care to change the ride height either which is the biggest selling point for coils)

I've got the Skunk 2 springs, with factory shocks, and my ride is just fine. It's not undrivably stiff, and it's not spoungy (sp) at all either. If you hit a dip in the road, there's enough play in the setup to not throw you all over the place inside the car. The only downside to the Skunk's though, is that you need to buy camber kits which bumps up the overall price. Of course, if you're going to get coilovers later down the road, you will have already saved yourself the price of the camber kits.

R&D takes a while. Springs are much easier. Just be patient. If you don't wanna wait get coilovers. Or get the HFP suspension and use aftermarket springs.

I called KYB and Koni earlier this week. I just wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth. KYB told me that they should have them out by the end of the summer. Koni said they are having problems getting some specs from Honda, but are working on it. He said they wanted to have them out early this summer, but it's going to be fall at the earliest.

Moral to the story... They are coming ......... but when

Here's a link to order the Tokico struts. It says they'll be shipped once they receive them from the manufacturers which seems like it should be soon. Hopefully someone will pick these up quick and give us a full review.

Tokico just released the HP shocks. They work well the lowering springs. I don't have stock yet but I will. They will be about $500 shipped for the set of4.
