Tein Flex, SS, Basic are all good for street with a little fun driving mixed in. If you put them in yourself, you are going to have to adjust them a couple of times until you get the ride hight you want and the damping/rebound you want (on SS and Flex) If you want a cheap, nice, simple, set it and forget it, get some springs. If you get some springs, you can get some Koni reds or yellows (when they come out with them) later on down the line.
I have had Tein SS and now i have Tein Flex. The SS was just to soft for me but other people think they might be too stiff for them. The SS and the Basic have the same spring rate, 340 lbs/in in the front and 390lbs/in in the rear. The SS just have the ability to have the damping/reboud changed (makes it firm or soft.) Good luck in your choice. |

TEIN Basics are a great street setup. They ahve ride height adjustment and are firmer than stock but not stiff. The Buddy Club dampers have much more adjustability: ride height, dampening, and pillowball upper mounts.

depending on what you plan on doing. if you plan on tracking the car then coilovers would be a good idea. as it will allow you to change the settings. it also depends on how low you want to go, the lower you go the higher chance you have to blow you shocks.

i really just need a drop cuz stock height bothers me..this is a daily driver
i wanted just stechs but now im set on the skunk2 pro s as it gives me lowering options (which im pretty sure i dont really need) and im sure they'll last longer i figured if i really wanna drop it might as well do it right |

i am in the same boat but i dont have the money for the coilovers. but i see it that i wouldnt get the full use out of coilovers hence why i have decided to go with just springs and stock struts
