RSX brakes..?

I have a 2007 Civic LX and have an opportunity to get my hands on some RSX Type-S front brakes.. Is this a doable swap and if so direct or is there some modifications I have to do? Thanks!

I know big brake kits for the rsx-s fit the si with a little modification, so I would assume that rsx-s brakes would fit the base civic. By modification I mean that you must remove or bend the heat shield. Try it and let us know

the rsx-s brakes are the same as the si brakes from what I remember. If that's the case, it should be a pretty direct swap.

if you look closely the calipers sit differently, the civic sit in the front and rsx sits in the back.. will that effect the swap?

Look the front is feasable, however the rear suspension/chasis is way different. Actually no this wont work.I came across a deal on ebay for the fronts and rears. I checked out diagrams and relaized that these cars are way different. The RSX-S brakes are perfect for the 7th gen Civic.

Personally i have the 11.8" oem rotors/calipers/brake pads/brake lines from the 07 Civic Si on my LX... (up front) its great.
-the Acura RSX-S has the same size rotors as the 06-07 civic Si.

What I mean is if it comes with the hubs/knuckles then you can swap these brakes onto the 7th gen Civic. Didn't want anyone to think that I was implying someone try to simply put the 5 lug rotors on the 7th gen civic's 4 lug hub..haha. take a look at the diagrams i posted. The fronts might work on our Civics.

Are the Si ones bigger than the EX's?

Damn straight they are! F*ck yes they are!!! Wouldn't be any other way!

The LX/EX have 10.3" rotors up front. Si has 11.8" rotors up front. the difference between the LX and the EX is that the EX has 10.2" rotors in the rear like the Si, while the LX has 7.9" drum brakes in the rear.
