The ground control kit currently available is matched to the stock shocks. When Koni releases the sport dampers, ground control will make a new setup with stiffer spring rates to match the harder dampers.

THeir Eibach springs, as long as the damper housing is the dame diameter as the stock ones then the aftermarket dampers should work with new springs on the standard kit. We don't know this yet until konis are released.
With any luck they will be the same and all you will need to do is replace the springs which is fairly inexpensive. To be for sure though I would wait. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34269 |

Yeah Koni's are yellow. They came that way see in the pick that extra was welded on and then re sprayed by koni.
Why don't I have koni's. Well we ran in G-Stock with the car last year to see if it could be competitive against the mini coppers and NOPE I guess I don't have them cause I am just toooooo busy on here helping you to install them I will get them as soon as my moton's come in I wish I will get em I am just waiting cause as it sits now the car is not terrible and I am still able to have fun with it, unless the A/C is on. Although I do complain daily about how the car is :) I will do somthing Stupid suspension wise very soon You won't be dissappointed

I have the GC's for stock struts on now. They're nice seeing it's Eibach springs but I'm not happy with how they fit. The rears seem too short. If I lift the car off the ground say on a lift or to adjust something/install the rear sway or whatever, the rear springs pop out of placement and it's a royal pain to get them back where they sit flush. I get a lot of noises right now but it's getting better since they're breaking in (been on for 3 weeks or so now). I do have to say that I'm not happy with how high the rears go. Literally at it's highest setting, there's not even half a finger's gap. So adjustable up front yes. Rears can only go tucked really.

Sounds like your not happy with the spring rates that came in your kit. Looks like the GC site lists them at $60 a set. If you plan on buying new struts you might want to wait before buying new spring rates. Any pictures of you set up? |
