Progress RSB w/ stock EX front?
So I'm looking to upgrade the very very small 11mm rear bar on my ex coupe. But I want it done right. Easy answer is of course just getting the progress RSB and using it in conjunction with the 25.4mm front bar in the EX.
however, I have heard that one would need to upgrade the endlinks with something like this. now what I'd like to know, is how would a setup like that handle? Mind you, my car is bone stock right now, but I do plan on getting the HFP suspension. I don't want to go too over the top because this is my DD and I would like a small bit of comfort to remain. Will it handle well with the stock front and the progress rear? ( and eventually with the HFP suspension too. ) thanks! |

Si front sway bar
IMO..All suspension/handling aftermarket modifications for the 2006-2007 Civics are designed for the Si version, except the HFP items by Honda. Having said that, the Progress rear sway bar is no exception. Therefore I think you should install the Si front sway bar with Si bushings, etc. to bring your EX up to par with the Si suspension. Side note. When you do get the HFP sport suspension, make sure it is for the non-Si version.

My LX had the 17mm solid oem Si rear sway bar and the stock sway bar up front. It definetly helped, but I felt the rear end was a little twitchy. Like if I hit a long gradual curve at 70mph and I continued to push on the gas progressively I was afraid the rear end would spin out. I then installed the Carbing front upper strut bar and the car felt more neutral, more balanced unlike before oversteer started to creep up on me in the high speed curves.
-I would definetly tell you to get the Si front sway bar, if you are going to go with the Progress rear sway bar. |

so if i go the route of the Progress rear bar, I should definitely upgrade the front to the Si setup correct? So would it be advisable then to start with a full SI set then go with the progress later? |

You could do what i did... Just get the rear Si sway put in. Later you can get the front one put in. Then you can get the progress sway bar in the rear with the si one up front. However if you noticed that thread that one guy posted... he had a progress sway bar in the rear of his Civic EX and his endlink broke off the bracket which is welded to the lower control arm. So just wait with the rear progress bar.
