I meant where on the LCA in the diagram? They both look the same; is that the point of the illustrations?
Thanks.

Actually, that's kind of funny that you mention that... I just looked back at the drawings, and the endlink bracket isn't shown for some reason (EX or Si). That's odd. Anyways, there SHOULD be a bracket in the drawing on the inboard side of the front section of the arm.

That's my real name!
^^
I'm wondering that myself as well.

I'm glad I didn't get the swaybar because I had a feeling that would happen. Anyway, I have access to a welder and metal so I should be able to reinforce that easily. Unfortunately, most people don't have it that easy so what do the majority do especially if they already have the swaybar on?

That's the $64 question.
Unfortunately there isn't really any other option. Basically only welding will provide the required strength.

FWIW, I've been e-mailing an Australian company called K-Mac about sway bars and they should have adjustable sways with a reinforcement kit by the end of Summer.

I added a poll to see just how many other people have experienced the same issue. If you haven't yet experience any breakage, please do not vote, unless you will never install a sway bar because of what you learned in this thread.

Easy fix...Use four one on each side and bolt it to the additional hole in that bracket, easily reinforce the mounting location removing the stress from the outer edge and transferring it. Gimme a week or 2 I will make em.

This design would requiring drilling another hole in that bracket but would add some extra strength. Just a thought. These would be easy to install drill a hole and bolt them on, and would solve the tear out issue.

Looks like this is quite an easy bolt-on fix. I'd buy a set. Thanks!

I don't know about drilling another hole in that bracket. Putting another hole in the bracket would weaken it even more.

Don't know why that other hole is there in the first place. Maybe it was the extra effort Honda went through to reduce weight on the car? Yeah right.

The weak spot is the outer edge not the inner surface area. THats why I think the extra hole will do more good than harm.

See it was torn out to the side that is why I think the 2 bolts would help more than hurt.

That looks better.

I now see what you mean with the two-bolt design, but I don't think most people are willing to take a drill to their car if they don't trust themselves with a welder.

I just think 2 holes will support it much better than the one. ANd its a drill almost everyone has one of those, a welder is not as common.

And clear some pm's 8thgenuser

the megans sway bar don't bolt to that so people may have to use that one if they don't want to take the risk of using this one.

Wow... a lot has happened since I last checked

Highrev, I think that "strengthener" is a good idea, and the next best thing for anyone without access to a welder. I ended up welding over those extra holes because I decided to further strengthen the entire bracket by removing the weak spot, but obviously since I was welding, the extra hole wasn't necessary.

I voted too.... just for ***** and giggles

Yeah I know I used to not have acess to a welder. So this is something I would need to use with a bolt.

Somthing like this guys.
