500 lbs/in 560lbs/in F/R. I hate having to clean my suspension everytime you puke on them so could you at least aim the other way.

You better not pee on them either. The springs really aren't that bad. They allow just the right amount of body roll, imo, and they are only rough on the biggest of bumps. I am very happy with them even if you aren't so

Teins are good for the street. I just am not in love withthem cause of their dampers, they adjust rebound/bump with one knob. Thats just not good to get the best handling out of your car. You end up running out of one or the other with one knob. There not bad but not good if your trying to get that last 10th of a second in a competition.

Oh i sooooooooo know that. If i had it my way, (and more money) I would get something that is triple adjustable with remote reservoirs and stuff. I'm not looking for the last tenth because i'd never be able to afford it. I'm just looking for better than stock handling limits and that certain feel i'm looking for. I want it to be more neutral with more stick and i am on my way.

Hahahahahahahha. I got rid of my Tein SS that i used to have. Now I have tein Flex. The ss were just toooooo soft and they didn't have the adjustable camber plates in the front and preload can be adjusted separately from ride height. sooo : P I was wondering if you would find that and, if you did, was expecting you to give me some sh@# for it.

well since you say buying pre built coilovers aren't worth getting, should i just wait and build my own? i'm thinking about getting the hfp suspension only because i don't wanna spend much right now. i've read you don't need to get camber arms and bolts, but would you recommend buying them anyways?

WHEN TO USE CAMBER KITS?/DO I NEED A CAMBER KIT? YES!!!!

The real answer is its up to you. Do you want to handle better, reduce tire wear or have real control over your suspension?

just cause i like being an ass from time to time ... Won't a camber kit only move tire wear from the outside of the tire to the inside of the tire?

I'm sure it will reduce over all tire wear on a car that is driven hard but i'm just playing around. Bored at work.

The ideal is to maximize the enite tire contact patch not one edge more than another. That is what can cause irregular tire wear. If you are on a track you will want more camber, if you are on the street less will work.

"Ultimatly the only way to find the "perfect" amount of static negitive camber is to take tire temps.
Actually the major culperate to increased tire wear isnt camber, but Toe. catch is, you can "see" camber, but cant see Toe, so as per norm, people blame the increase in tire wear on camber because they can actually see it. when most of the time its actually Toe (bad toe settings will eat tires 10X faster then just about any amount of camber.
Note: Too much toe in causes excessive wear on the inside of the tire (looks like camber wear) where as too much toe out causes excessive wear on the outside of the tire."

but i wasn't talking about toe i was talking about camber. : P If i had more money for tires, i'd run a little toe out in the front and a little toe in in the rear. But tires ain't cheap and i go though a set about one a year as is, so i can't. Ohhhhhhhh Wellllllllll. Were is Red Shift Motorsports anyway?

Thats the key, people can see camber thats why they blame it on camber. Toe eats em worse.

Were in PA.

What do you use to take your tire temps?

Did you use the tire temp gauge to get your camber settings of 1.75/1.25 f/r (if i remember correctly) or is that just your starting point?

I am SOOOO good I don't need a Temp gauge Just being an Ass.

Personally I maxed front camber, considering I knew a general idea of the suspension setup then I balanced rear to what I acheived in front. Then fine tuned the toe so rotation was SWEET. I did this on Autox tracks, or Race tracks, NOT on the street.

I still run -2 front for the street. and some crazy toe settings.
