Lowered on Megan Springs BONUS Dorifto

Long-time lurker here... slowly doing improvements to the 2007 TW Civic EX Sedan.

First of all, BIG UP to BattleEndless - http://www.beperformance.com for hooking up the springs (they had them in stock, and CHEAP!) and Ian from IGarage - http://www.igarage.ca for installing them QUICK!

Everyone knows the first thing you do to a car is to LOWER IT.

Enjoy the pics, my review below:

Here it is on my tow truck... as you can see not so low that it can't be towed.

Sitting curbside, stance is PROPER

Front gap

Front gap 2

1 chubby finger gap in the front

Rear gap

Barely 1 chubby finger gap in the rear (heavy sub enclosure 12's x 2)

Ass view

As you can see, the stance is NICE. It's been perfect and I have tried every way to make it bottom out on pot-holes, speedbumps and railway crossings...I can almost forget that I've lowered the car. There's no need to go up driveways sideways. The ride is comfy and close to stock. The handling is improved with the lowered and moderately stiffer suspension.

The verdict is that this suspension upgrade is perfect for the street driven daily driver and casual track racer who is looking for an improvement in handling and stance, while not burning a hole in your pocket. For those with more serious intentions, look for coilovers with properly adjustable (bound and rebound) dampeners.

All I'm going to do later on is add a rear swaybar, add front camber bolts and some better wheels and tires for a more sporting nature. I don't intend on racing or competing with this car as my toy below does all that for me (If I can get her back together again).

By the way, I'll take more pics a week or so later to see if it settled even lower.

Thanks for the props... Only $199.99 (Canadian Funds... that means cheaper for the US 8th Gen'ers) from www.beperformance.com

It's actually more expensive since the exchange rate is so close.

Ian's hourly rate is $50/hour.. much cheaper than most shops! I paid him $140 for the installation and he refuses to take more.

I doubt that'll happen. I have yet to feel the suspension hitting the bumpstops and the ride is NOT bouncy at all. The spring rate seem to be well suited with the stock dampeners. If they do blow, that means a reason to upgrade!
