Any way to make my suspension feel softer?

Hey guys, i'm just wondering if there's any way i can make my sedan's suspension softer than stock. I rode in a camry and it feels like you're riding on a cloud compared to my civic. Any way to make this happen? Do i just need to change the shocks? thanks!

What's wrong with liking a soft ride? Not everyone is into taut rides.

haha nah, it's just that i ride in my friends cars sometimes, i'm impressed by how soft n comfortable their Toyota's (mainly camry's) suspensions are. They probably don't handle as well as my civic, but the ride is comfy

well, camry is 1 higher level than civic. camry compete with honda accord. That might be why

It's better to compare your civic to a scion/corolla

buy a Toyota. seriously, the main thing i dont like about Toyotas is how they remove all driver feedback from the suspension if its not supposed to be a sporty car.

lol, being more expensive = softer suspension. not really. its because thats how Toyotas are built. all Hondas are meant to be drivers cars, even the Fit.

i also heard that toyota/lexus's excel at "cushioned isolation" for their non-sporty cars, maybe i should look into one. thanks

You could look into springs with a softer ride rate. I don't know if they exist, but it would cheaper than changing cars. That is if that is the only thing that you dislike with your EX sedan.

dont bother half assing it. theres more to it than just the springs, your not going to like the results. also you'll probably now have less grip on your tires, so your braking is probably going to get worse, ABS will probably kick in too often...you better of trading for a Corolla which is cheaper than the EX in anycase.

Insert useless comment---> Buy a Buick. I had to borrow my grandfather's years ago and it felt like I was sitting in my living room. I really enjoyed it, and felt guilty for that.....

I like soft suspensions until i have to turn the wheel. If i what something to roll over, i'll get a dog. Thats just me though. To each his own. I've been raised on racing so i have a high tolerance for a stiff suspension. I thought my Si stock suspension was too soft, got Tein SS and they were to soft, now i have Tein Flex and i could still stand a stiffer spring rate. I live in Cali where we don't spend tax dollars to fix roads unless they collapse. Our roads suck.
