Eibach sportline question?? cutting the bumpstops???

ok just got my sportline kit today, and it says you have to trim the rear bumpstops. why is this??? do i really have to take out the shock and do this? i saw on 8thgen, there was a debate on doing it and not doing it. what should i do?? is it really necessary

we put a set of neuspeed race springs in my buddys si which lowers its 2 inches all around and didnt have to cut the bump stops. i dont see why u gotta do it with these ?

INstalling lowering springs shorten the strock on the stock shocks. SInce the stock shocks is not meant for springs, it'll bottom out if you dont cut the bumpstops everytime you ran over a small dip.

It dosen't even say to cut the fronts... The Si has more of a bottoming out problem in the rear.

I dropped my Si on Skunk 2 springs, didn't cut anything, and haven't rubbed, or bottomed out yet.

i just dont under stand whats the point when other spring companys dont tell you to do so.

i think its just because eibach wants u to be safe going over large dips without bottoming out.

I have the eibach sportline and you definately have to cut them, Its a great suspension especially if you get the progress sway bar. It handles amazing but trust me CUT THEM or you will be sorry.
