For a fairly detailed debate about chassis bracing look here. any one put a strut towerbar on an si?. Also even in post 84 on the thread you gave the designer even says it won't make your suspension stiffer. Just some food for thought.

Biggest improvment would be TIRES.

1. Tires
2. Proper alignment (not an OEM one!)
3. Dampers
4. Springs
5. Anti-roll bar or bars, depending on your springs.

The "slammed look" and good handling can not be in the same sentence. If you over lower the car, you will lose suspension travel and ruin the suspension geometry of the car especially in the front.

I agree that tires are the best improvement as they are the one and only aspect of the suspension that makes contact with the road... the car's handling is limited by the limits of the tire.

I will IM you highrev to figure out some handling recommendations for a daily driver...

Where would lighter rims fit in that list? I drawing up my list on how much money gets allocated to each item. The car will be a street driven daily driver that really likes to turn hard. I will probably go with Tein Flex because of how much I liked them on my Supra. But the other parts are still up in the air. Like saving the money and extra weight of chassis bracing and putting that to lighter rims or better tires instead.

Way down unless you are serious about competition reducing unspring weight will help but not a necessary thing to do. So if anything I would say wider wheels with a good set of tires and don't worry about the weight of them SOOO much but don't get some concrete shoes either

haha some shop brought an evo with tein coilovers to the track this weekend and the coilover snapped before he even made it to the track...

Snapped? But I'm not tracking just daily driving in a maniac sorta way. Any pictures of the snap that sounds, since it didn't happen to me, sorta cool.

Which rear cambers are easier to adjust when it is time for an alignment. I need to get camber kits for the front and rear. Thanks for all the info.

Thanks...theres a couple of guys around here who know and some who think they know...Make sure any advice you get is from those that are in the know...

I am biased towards track/competition setups so I would watch what I suggest too

That should be ok just remember that The car will have more of a tendancy to understeer.

It won't be bad just in rain or snow be slightly careful.

I get a new set of tires I get a new alignment....Tires aren't cheap and just want to ensure proper specs and wear...IMHO

If you lower your car doesnt the camber increase in the rear?

Is it limited by metal or something? Like can it go to inifinity negative camber in rear?

Also, why doesn't a performance oriented car come with its own camber kit? Does the SI come with one? I dunno? I think S2000 does.

I dont have my SI yet waiting on the 08's but I'm thinking to stick with my tired and true combo with all my Hondas.

Yes the rear camber does increase as the rear suspension compressses or is lowered. Infinity NO, THere is a limit until there becomes running issues, and that is why proper camber is important.

If you look at the OEM spec's, Honda has setup these specs to pretty much allow for NO camber up front. And about -1 degree in the rear. Why? So your car understeers. This is so the car is safe for you to drive without the waggin the tail all over the place. This also does not allow for good turn in or a "fun" car to drive.

Koni's are truly a great damper....I would suggest the Ground controls though they are slightly more aggresive and are ride height adjustable
