what if i set rear to 0?

how would that affect my handeling?

im just curious if that would help increase tire wear. w/o sacraficing to much handling.

this would be combined with hfp suspension.

You are better off leaving the rear alone and adding negative camber to the front. No camber in the rear could make the car twitchy when cornering.

question, would i want a high coilover rate if i were to be more of a racer than a street driver??? cuz every corner i come to, i take it fast not slow....i want somethin to handle tremendously not good...what brand should i look at?

Lowering springs really aren't going to improve performance.

Hey folks. I just joined the forum after searching the net for good suspension info on the FG. Picked my car up this past december and am currently running the HFP suspension.

I previously had the SS-P on my em2, and while initially I was satisfied with its performance, I found that its staying power was a bit in question. Much like someone described previously, the coilover starts getting really loose and takes longer and longer to settle after hitting bumps. I put about 15,000 miles worth of driving on them (mixed highway, street, and auto cross) so I'm not sure I should be complaining about how long they lasted, but you can expect that you will need to commit funds to having them refreshed on a per year basis by Tein, and unless you have a spare suspension/techinical knowledge/cheap mechanic this could be more than some people are willing to do. I also never lowered the car more than 2" (cept right before I took the coils off), and when I did the handling was adversely affected.

With that said I really like the HFP suspension, although I can't tell how good the performance is with the MXM4s I'm stuck riding on (Man these tires are terrible). The suspension seems bouncy, but I'm hoping better grip will fix what I percieve as some twitchiness over undulating surfaces. Any thoughts folks?

i have a FA and just put some 18s on it. I want to lower it but im not sure how low to put it. I want it to look good but i dont want any problems with rubbing or anything like that.

The stiffer the springs, the lower you can go without rubbing.

i was wondering, if i get the HFP, do i still need a camber kit? front and/or rear? and wats the drop on it to be sure?

drop is about .8-1 inches depnding on who is measuring.
Camber kits: for tire ware, no. For much better handling, front camber is a must. You would not believe what -1.5 degrees up front does for handling.

The drop is noticable, just not as much as other manufactures. Go get out a tape measure and actually look at the difference between 1" and 1.4", it's not that much.

.4 inches might not be much but on i car it can be a good bit, i think that that .4 inches lower can make the car look a lot better

i not accusing u of anything, i was just sayig that .4 inches might not be much but on a car height it can be a good bit

we have the slowest car in our class and are mid pack in handling. Why on earth would you want to spend money trying to look good instead of spending money on closing the gap?
