Tein Basic Damper

So I was looking around on corsport and saw tein basic coilovers for I think $915. I am a complete newb when it comes to suspension though. If I were to buy these, would I still need to buy a camber kit? And what exactly does a camber kit do? I know that I would need an alignment after getting new suspension, thats about it. Does anyone have any reviews on these coilovers? Maybe pictures of how good the drop is?

ALIGNMENTS!!

If you're looking for better handling, then regardless of whether you're running the stock setup or any aftermarket products, you will need to invest in a camber kit. A camber kit will allow for the an adjustment of how your tires will be angled to the road. You will need to do an alignment after the suspension change, there's no doubt about that.

Okay thank you I now know what camber kits do.

Any reviews on the Tein Basic coilovers? Could I get away with just getting lowering springs instead of coilovers and still have good reliability?

TEIN Basics are firmer than stock, but not stiff or jarring. If you need a set of Basics PM me with your year and model Civic and zip code and we will beat that other price.

i have tein basic coilovers and i am happy, easy install and good ride, the height of my civic is supurb. i can make it go up or down, but you must put the car on jackstands first and crank up the coils then put the wheels back on and then you good.

i say spend a little extra crash and get the ss, just because you can adj the damper on the ride.. i'm going to go with flex.. for the stiffness and the edfc so i dont have to get out and adj them if i want a softer ride.
