For those of you with the HFP suspension setup!

So, i want to change up the suspension and for my style of driving along with the amount of daily driving i do, i believe that the HFP suspension setup would be a perfect fit...

I calls for a little less then an inch of drop...with this, i wouldn't need a camber kit correct?

also, i went out to the car today and i have about a 4 finger gap between the wheel and the fender...with the HFP suspension would that drop it to around 2 fingers?

does anyone have any pictures of there setup with teh HFP suspension?

what are your opinouns of the HFP suspension? likes and dislikes if any?

thanks!

had HFP..
in my opinion, HFP kits are not good for daily driving, it's pretty stiff..
It lows the car by about .7 ~ .8 inch. it's about two fingers.. maybe a finger and half? and........ Within 1 inch, you don't need camber kits.

but actually it's difficult to say which one is better or not, because it depends on driver's favor..

anyway,

I have Tein SS now..
and opinion about Tein SS and HFP..?

1.Performance(cornering, anti-rolling and so on..)

-HFP is better, can't explain like experts but honda knows honda cars better

2.Stiffness

-about to same but Tein SS(if it's on max stiff setting) is bit more stiff(I think)

3.Look

-Tein SS (of course, this one is adjustable)

4.Price

-HFP is cheaper but.. honda parts are always more expensive than their value(i think)

i don't know if this helped u or not..

adding one more thing,

I suggest buying springs and rear under sway bar than buying whole kits.
If you are not seriously into sus,
and if you are looking for comfortable ride but also wanna taste sharper cornering your car makes than stock,

that's the cheapest way.. I think.

IMO...HFP suspension is the best suspension for a daily driver. As stated in #2, Honda does know there stuff and my set up with the HFP suspension plus Si front and rear sway bars is awesome. I also don't all the technical terms, but for about $700 you will get all you need for a daily driver.

daily drive..? I don't really get what it means..
if it is 4dr, I don't know..

but if it's si, well..
hfp hurts my back driving around on city roads (bit a bumpy road).
anyways..
tastes are different. :)

Daily Driving means you use it everyday like going to work, road trips, etc. Basicly with the HFP suspension you can go over speed bumps with ease, drive ways, and other stuff so you don't have to be like the super low cars that can't go over certain places.

I love my HFPs. It has that go cart feel with a slight drop.

see i dont want to be all over the road having to make sure to dodge all of the pot holes and bump and everything else that comes along and since i drive anywhere from 60-80 miles per day, that would make for alot of dodging haha...

i just want something that will make the cars stance a little better and the car a little better in the corners...i dont want to go the cheap route with just springs b/c i know after a while the shocks will go and i dont need something crazy b/c well im not going to be racing...

The HFP suspension is good for your everyday driving. But most of the time you want to avoid pot holes anyways because it could mess with your alignment. But seriously you can buy other coilovers too, it's just the height that your worried about. I mean for example with the tein flex you could just lower your car an inch over stock if you want, you can adjust it, and if you want to go lower you could do that.

yes...well trust me i already avoid everything haha...so no worries in that department...

...im just not sure whether or not i want to go up to something as expensive as the tein coilovers when the HFP setup is so much cheaper...and i mean how much does on really change up the ride height of their car...

you must have little hands or something. I have about a 2-2 1/2 finger gap stock. Something doesn't seem right there.

If you can wait until summer, KONI will have their FSD dampers out, which are desinged for both better handling and a smooter ride quality! You can pair them up with a set of Eibach progressive rate springs, and those together should only run you about $850 or so...not too much more than the HFP setup.

i just got my hfp suspension on my ex coupe tonight, and for the 30 min. or more of driving home i saw a big difference. body roll is a huge difference. it does have a go cart feel, i mean it is more responsive. at first i could get about 2 fingers between my gap but now i can only get one, barely. i can tell a big difference in height (could be plesibo effect) but from getting in and out on stock height to the hfp hieght, you can tell a difference. im still on stocks wheels and tires because one of my hfp wheels came with a paint chip so its going back...hope this helps

i just got my hfp installed this afternoon. it's a BIG difference between stock and hfp. it's a bit more bumpy but that's to be expected from a sport suspension. the drop is good for a daily driver, u don't need to worry about speed bumps. the handling is completely different, it just emphasizes how crappy the stock all seasons are... ARGH!

I'm interested in the HFP kit as well, but I just ordered some Skunk 2 springs, so I'll probably wait a while on other shock/coilover packages.

HFP's are esp stiff because they're not progressive. Eibach pro's have the best daily drivability.

You really can't compare the Eibach springs to the HFP because with the HFP you get springs and struts which also stiffens the dampaning.

HFP is way more stiff.. than I expected..

no void warranty
no speed bump worries ----- these are good things if you considered..

..believe or not, I think HFP kits gives sharper cornering than Tein SS does..
so........ I was thinking of getting Tein Flex, but I'm kinda afraid of stiffness..
I'd better get sway bar and stick to this setting..

anyone who will get springs, struts, kits and coilover..
gotta be patient and got to throw your greed away.. unless you have lots lots lots lots of money..
