Anyone know anything about the tein basic full coilovers

I am looking at buying the tein basic full coilovers. I was just wandering if anyone has them on there car or if they have heard anything good or bad about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you do have them on your car, could you please post some pics. Thanks

I've had the Basic's going on 3 months now. So far, all is good. Ride is great, handling is much better than stock setup. No complaints, except for the drop, would like to close in the gap a little more. I'm lowered about 1-1.25" at the moment, will probably drop another 0.25-0.50" whenever I get the time to take it in.

Looks good. Are those 17" or 18" rims and tires on your car? Is the extra drop pretty easy to do or are you just going to pay someone? Let me know when you get it done and post some extra pics. Thanks for the help.

Thanx. Those are 17's on there. I believe the adjustment is easy. I'm going to have the shop that did the install, drop it some more, I can have it re-aligned at the same time. That lifetime alignment I bought the year prior is starting to pay off :) These are pics of the Basic's right after install(camber kit not on at that time). As you can see from rear spring, there's plenty of room to adjust.

i know for older cars, the tein basics are not damper adjustable. a full coilover that's not damper adjustable is a waste of money imo. especially for that price, find another company and get damper adjustable coilovers. you'll realize that you need the damper adjustment as you go lower and the ride gets more harsh.

streetmachine02 had his slammed on Basics. How's was ride streetmachine?
For me, at this point, the ride is far from harsh. I doubt dropping another quarter to half inch is going to kill the ride.

just installed tein basic on my 06 si. Hearing some noises coming from the front struts anyone else notice this? Also I have the back coilovers set all the way up, so the shop said, and my car is still slammed even the shop couldnt figure this out, anyone have an explanation for this? The rear gold adjustment piece had the green adjustment rings all the way up top. Seems to me its on the lowest setting but the only way the adjusters will go is down which would compress my spring more.

yo- my ride is alot better only up a quarter of an inch... im getting 18s in 38 days, and my ride will be sacraficed for some big wheels but im willing to make that sacrifice... the car is still low but it needs to be at a reasonable height for everyday driving, but when nopi comes to STL im slamming that VIC... i thought 915 for basic coils was a good price, im not someone who auto-x's or drives on a track, i dont need adjustability, only such that is up and down... i respect tein SS and FLEX... that product is great if you got the DOUGH. i did what i could given my financial situation.
