*Installed* : Si 17mm Swaybar on Lx Sedan.

So I went ahead and put the bar on today.
Stock endlinks.
I ordered the si bushings and clamps for the bushings.

I ended up not using the clamps because they didnt fit the subframe holes. The spacing between the bolts on the Si is larger than the ex/dx/lx.

So I had to grind down the si bushings to fit inside the stock lx clamps.

Havent driven on the freeway yet. And its wet out now local so I dont want to die on a test run.

Ill report back with my review later on.

Increases spring rate side to side but not front to back. Increasing the size of the rear bar also increases the load the rear tires effectively see during cornering and promotes more oversteer, or rather less understeer.

Confused yet?

Too damn cold and windy.
If I punch it in 1stgear the tires roast.

So not enough traction right now to test out.

Had an open freeway today and at 90-100 mph the car feels MUCH more stable.
I am totally impressed.
Cornering is good STOCK, but is improved now. Just the front plows a bit. Tires are to blame.

Next step is OEM Si rear shocks or something aftermarket.

The Si clamps didn't fit because you didn't buy the Si brackets ('L' shaped part that mounts to the body, there is no subframe in the rear). The Si brackets are thicker to deal with the stiffer bar. You will snap the brackets for the 11mm bar if you put the 17mm bar on it. Check the parts catalogue, they are different part numbers, and if you put the two parts side by side... the Si part is thicker metal and beefier in shape.

Get the right parts and do it over. Save the ground clamps for the next episode of junk yard wars.

You must've got a good one then because my stock cornering blows more than a drunk chick at mardi gras.

I think SWRT was just trying to help. His last comment was a bit harsh, but I don't think his intention was meant to be mean. I'll stop speaking for someone else...now.

Joe, I applogize I didn't intend to offend. That was my 2nd day into quitting smoking... I couldn't have not been an ******* if I tried. That all sounded funny in my nicotine deprived mind.

For reference I believe the part numbers for the necessary brackets are 52317-SVB-A0? and 52318-SVB-A0? (not sure of the last digit).
