I had a rough time myself trying to take that nut off until I put the strut back on the car.

I just had the same problem saturday and i had to go buy the box wrenches at sears, you will need a 17mm box wrench but that is not the only thing you are going to need then when i bought the wrench i got back home and it still wouldnt get down deep enough to get a good bite on the nut so i had to use a grinder and grind down the box wrench enough to get the wrench down deep enough to get a good bite and then it was a peice of cake to get off.I will take a pic of the wrench you will need to get it off and i will take a pic of the grind that i had to take off.

Nice bike

Keep us updated if your springs ever start creaking. Mine started about 2 weeks after installation, did so for about a month, and has since quit...

Got the springs on... No problems with the installation, took about 3 hours. It is easy to get the top nut off when the strut is in the car...

did you take the whole nut off or just loosen it? i'm waiting for my camber kit to come in and want to have a smooth install.

Just loosen it, as there is a lot of pressure there with the stock coil spring. Once you get it off you should use a spring compressor so the top dosen't go flying off. You can do it without a spring compressor but I wouldn't recommend it, you can rent them or loan them at auto parts store usually.
