i currently have those same flex's from my fg on my fa5 ... still on the stiffest setting too .... rides like a dream.
Huh, thanks for the feedback man. I am still waiting to hear back from a kid who is somewhat local to me to see if he would give me a ride in his Si dropped on Flex's.

To be honest with you I am kind of expecting a rough ride, but based on what you have to say about them it doesn't sound like it will be. Now I am really curious to see what I think of the ride quality compared to stock.

My GSR was lowered on 5-way adjustable coilovers and it wasn't dumped but the tops of the tires pretty much sat level with the fenders and the ride was manageable after I got used to it and memorized every damn pot hole in my town, but it was rough by most peoples standards and I don't want my Si to ride like my teg did.

Were the SS's in anyways a more forgiving ride? Maybe better or more suitable for a daily driver?

Anyways thanks again.

Yeah, the coilovers will be going on a FA5 also. Do you still have to get the camber kit if you get the coilovers.

well yeah the SS were more forgiving ... but they felt tooo soft ... the ride was great, just like the flex ... but hitting a bump at higher speed on the SS u won't feel as much as the flex so yeah it's more forgiving ... aside from road surprises, bumps etc ... they pretty much feel the same on even road ... when u put them to the test it's clear the flex is stiffer.

i had them both at the same drop ... top of tire right at fender line

i'd say yeah the SS is more suitable for a daily driver cuz it is softer ... but the flex feels just as good for DD ... the ride isn't that different until u hit something and even then its not harsh.

with the tein SS u need a camber kit for front and rear ... depending on how low u go...

with the tein Flex u don't need one for the front cuz camber is adjusted via a camber plate at the top of the front struts ... u'll need one for the rear depending on how low u go.

Hmm, I have alot of thinking to do. I will not be going too low. I just want it a little lower than stock and the handling alittle better. Where have you guys found to be the best priced places to get the tein coilovers. (Has anyone ever tried the buddy club coils, or just looked at the specs, if so, how do they stack up against the tein coilovers?)

I've been debating springs v.s. coilovers for a while now too. For my car, since it is used as a daily driver, springs seem much more economical. But everything I've heard so far says that Springs on stock strut are extremely likely to blow out within a year or so, depending on how it's driven.

So right now i'm leaning towards coilovers.

That where Im at. Then I have to search and find something on ground control sleeves and koni shocks, and about how good that setup will be when the koni's come out. Just as I thought that my mind was made up on coilovers, now i have the ground control/koni thing to research and see if thats the way to go. Its also a little bit cheaper too.
