I'm glad to see such a lively discussion regarding the theories behind why one would upgrade to a stiffer front bar, however my initial inquiry was geared towards testimonials of people who actually have the front 30mm bar. Since I'm pretty sure it's not even available yet, if anyone who is currently using the 22mm rear bar winds up getting the 30mm front bar, please post a review of the differences that it made, both positive and negative.
Thanks! Brian |

I dont think i would get the front bar. The stock Si front bar is f ing huge as is. The rear bar is a must though. I might get a complete front/rear set from Hotchkis because they are a hallow bar that will be lighter and stiffer than stock at the same diameters, if they are even make them. The Hotchkis Competition set for the RSX is 25.4mm and 27mm in there rear. Hotchkis said that it is a 59 or 71% increase in stiffness in the front and 202 or 220% increase in stiffness in the rear. I might get a set with those numbers for my Si. All i do know, is im a gonna wait to see what people say cause im really not in the market for a sway bar set just yet.

Ha, why not go all the way and remove your front anti-sway bar? Try that. |

For autocrossing in some serious class-spec'd vehicles they actually do that. A member on here autocrossed a Civic hatch for quite some time in a prepared category and actually ran without no front sway bar whatsoever. It works, but I wouldn't do it unless the car is ONLY purpose built for track/autocross use and doesn't see any daily driving. My appologies to the OP for kind of mucking up the thread. If you want to buy one by all means buy one, but it's not the best modification to your car. |

One of the endlinks ended up breaking but that was as a result of my stupid ass not installing the swaybar correctly the first time around. Outside of that they worked great and never made any noise. I never said that they were better than the Hotchkis ones, though. If anything, they aren't and I agree with you that the Hotchkis are a much nicer unit. I had a set ordered for my car that I ended up selling off (was going to get rid of the car), and in the future I plan on buying another set of them. |

For all those drivers like "Highrev1" if you want a smaller bar up front and a much larger bar in the rear check out Hotchkis sway bar kit:
