Excellent choice guys, you won't be disappointed with the Basics. They greatly improve the cars handling. More of a firm feel over stock, yet still rides very comfortably. Just letting you know in advance, you will need a rear camber kit. I was hoping to get away without, but no. Negative camber was quite noticeable to the eye. Rear specs without were: -2.4 Lft, -2.1 Rt
After: -1.0 Lft, Rt and looks 10x better. I didn't notice any difference in handling with or without the kit. But for reducing inside tire wear, camber kit is definately worth it.

which camber kit did you buy? and what was the cost? on my 02 civic i had tein springs and tokico struts, i added the rear SPC camber kit and the ghetto camber bolts to the front... i dont like the camber bolts, they looked useless.

Eibach Rear Alignment Kit, which contains SPC arms. Just buy the SPC kit or Skunk2, they're alot cheaper. Front camber bolts aren't necessary on the FG1 & 2. No problem having the front end aligned after installing coilovers, just the rear, camber not adustable without kit.

What drop do you have with the Basic coilovers? I'm looking for a eibach sportline drop... 1.4" in the front and 1.2" in the rear, and according to specs, looks like that is possible. I'd go with sportlines, but I don't want to blow my struts so these coilovers look like the best option for me.

in the front you can drop from a half inch to 1.8 max, in the rear a half inch to 2.18 max. so you can put your car as low as you want in that range of drop.
MY BASIC COILS GOT HERE TODAY!!! im paying the $$ and picking them up as soon as im done typing this!!

Mine were set up conservatively around 1.0". However, they took awhile to settle and dropped approx. 0.25" more after a month. Might lower some more later on, we'll see.

I had Eibach Sportlines on another car of mine(2" drop). The OEM struts held up, but the shocks in back blew out real quick. Replaced with KYB struts and shocks. Car handled okay, but was a still a very harsh ride. I'm much happier with the Tein's.

the ride is supurb! definately more responsive steering, more aggressive, the front tucks and the rear tucks. the ride feels close to stock, maybe just a bit stiffer but with springs and dampers that is what i would expect, yes i needed a spring compressor for the front, and the whole install took around 4 hours... like borat says, "VERY NICE!" if i could figure out how to post pics i would
