Buying Springs - need help/suggestions....

hey guys,

i'm looking to buy lowering springs for my EX coupe. i ordered a set of 18x8" J-Line forged wheels which should be here in about a month. and i wanted to lower my car (not slam the crap out of it) but lower it enough to close up the gaps, and give it a good ride height without too much fuss with rubbing, camber, ride comfort.

i was told to stay away from TEIN springs as they suck (minus the coilovers). and that Tanabe and few other sources are good...

can anyone recommend me a good set of lowering springs? ideally probably looking for about a 1.5" drop. so if you guys can help me out with brand/model and how much it drops, and if you even have a picture of it installed, that'd be even more sweet....

thanks guys!

If your running 18's a 1.5 inch drop might cause some rubbing issues. I personally have the Eibach Sportlines (1.5 inch drop all the way around) with 17's. I can tell you that my 17 fit in there nicely, but with no room to upgrade to 18's. Alot of people on here are riding on Teins and they like them. I'm sure some people who run those springs will comment on them. But if you dont want Teins, you can go HFP, or the Eibach pro series ( I think thats the model name) only drop you an inch or so. That should be perfect with 18's

Lots of people use Tein here. The only issue that I've read thus far is the whole popping noise, but other than that, it seems to be rather great feedback. If Tein is out of the question, then perhaps you should consider Eibach. I've heard great things from them.

And yes, as mentioned, the springs are universal for all 2006+ Civics - DX/DX-G (Canadian)/LX/EX and Si.

What tire size will you be running?
