EX vs. SI sway bar vs. Progress technology
Has anyone replaced their EX coupe sway bar with a SI coupe sway bar. If so, can you feel any difference. I'm getting ready to install the HFP suspension and though I might as well change the sway bar. My car is for everyday and I think the Progress Technology sway bar will drive to harsh. BTW this is my first post, I'm a former 05 Mustang owner, and know my 06 EX coupe (work in progress) is going to be a lot of fun to drive and modify. Hope to have pictures soon.

I would get the Progress sway bar. Something I've been meaning to get though I won't be pushing the car that hard for it to do it's job. But everyone that has it installed love's it and I haven't heard any complaints of it being too harsh, which I don't think it can really.

i have an ex and i went to the Si rsb and liked it. it was an improvement to the stock ex bar. now i have the progress and like it even more handling is a lot crisper than the Si rsb but i also have the Si front to complete the handling package and lowered with eibach pro-kit.

I have the SI Sways installed on my EX coupe and definitely feel a difference.
I'm able to take on turns with much more ease and stability at higher speeds (not that I'm gunning it into a turn, but still). One thing that I also noticed that hasn't really been touched upon was that with the SI sways, I feel the ride quality has improved, especially on bumpy roads. It's still bumpy, but the bumps aren't as noticeable as when I had the EX sways on. Now that I can feel the difference first hand with the improved sway bars, I'm considering getting the Progress rear sway bar but I'm content right now. Maybe later on down the road I'll end up getting them. |

Thanks guys, it's not a money issue, I just don't want a stiff race car ride. Any thoughts on Megan's H bar brace, front lower tie brace, and rear lower tie brace. Will they cause my car to lose it's everyday driveability. I only intend to auto-x once in a while at best. Track is to far for a day trip.
