Comptech Springs / HFP Struts installed...

Finally got my suspension installed, Comptech Springs with HFP Shocks. BTW, the HFP springs are up for sale if anyone is interested!

I am VERY happy with this combination, the ride is slightly stiffer than stock, very smooth and handles like a little go cart! I didn't get a chance to snap any pics...the drop is conservative, but low enough for me and i'm sure it will settle a bit in the next few weeks. I didn't want to just do the springs because i didn't want to have them blowing out in the next 10k miles and since there was no other option for struts i went with HFP (had to buy the whole kit for them!).

In any case, i still have the stock crap tires on, but my Time Attacks are finally mounted on my new nittos, so once the weather gets a bit better i'm going to mount them up, slap on my HFP lip kit and really test out this handling...as of right now i couldnt be happier with the look and ride quality that Comptech/HFP achieved!

good stuff... waiting on the pics, i could wait any longer so i put on my eibach pro kits on the stock struts/shocks and just wait for aftermarket support.

honda claims its a 1'' drop but i would have to say its right around .75 - .8 when i had it on the 06 ex before the si.

Do you think Comtech springs are stiffer than the HFP springs that came with the kit.

No one seems to know the compression rate of the HFP springs. I know the progress springs are 40+ % stiffer than stock. I hear the eibach drops teh car but you regain much of the ride quality. Teins i just dunno people here are really for them or really against them.

So anyone know the compression rate of the HFP springs?

Unfortunately i've never ridden with the HFP springs...i know they are stiffer, but not sure how much more than stock. I believe the Comptech springs are stiffer than HFP but they feel great...very nice smooth ride. The handling feels worlds above how it was stock (which was damn good to begin with) so i'm a pretty happy customer right now. Great ride quality combined with great handling... the only downside are the damn rattles i have in the rear deck area

nice, good to hear you're loving it. I think the HFP dampers should hold with the comptech springs or any lowering springs for that matter. It should hold better than the stock shocks that we have in terms of longevity. I have a question, what other options do we have (si coupe) for shocks besides the HFP?

Yeah, I don't know the facts, but it's a safe bet that they are harder than the HFP's .8" drop, since comptech's drop is more aggresive, it makes sense comptech will be stiffer.

for shocks. nothing as of yet. Skunk2 and Tokico are coming out with struts sometime soon. Don't know the exact date so sorry.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong.
