How much of a drop are the comptech springs, im thinking something like the eibach pro kit. By the way, let us know how those tires grip when you drop the clutch at high rpms. (no more tire spinning)

Possible direct measurement from the ground to the bottom end of the fender?

with the comptech drop the rear camber will be -2.1 and stock is -1.7 so its a .04 difference. what size are the tires that are going on the volks? got the camber arms with the eibach pro kits since the new 18's and tires a slightly wider.

volks are 17x7.5. stuck with 215/45 tires.

Do you think it is possible to install other springs that are made for the Si on the HFP struts like the Tein S-techs, Eibach Sportlines or the Ground Control Sleeved coilovers for that matter?

I don't see why not if you can install them on the stock struts, which people have been doing, I was just looking for your input.

you should be able to do that w/ no problem. the HFP suspension kit is essentially a spring/damper combo, so using a different spring setup shouldn't be an issue for fitment. ride quality and longevity of your dampers, however, will probably differ slightly based on what springs you use.

Thanks for your input man, I kind of thought the same thing. I would buy the HFP suspension and call it a day if it dropped the car a little more and possibly had some adjust ability.

Suspension is the next thing on my list of things to do and I have been doing a lot of research and asking for input from people with different setups, its just tough because everyone has different opinions or standards for what they want their car to ride and handle like.

In my experience looking great and riding great are 2 totally different things. My car is daily driven and I want to lower it a little without throwing all of my ride quality out the door just for the sake of being low.

And I'm afraid if I go with a coilover setup like I had on my GSR it is gonna ride too rough.

At this point I am considering either going with the Tein SS's, A ground Control setup on the stock struts and eventually upgrading to something like a Koni Yellow. Or going witht he HFP suspension and putting an aftermarket spring on it to go a little lower and stiffer. Now I just have to make up my mind....

anyone know where to get HFP struts only? I'm most likely going with the Ground Control sleeves.
