opinions on my springs
i am building a custom sound system for my car.. its gona be heavy in the trunk..... i know the back of my car is gona go lower wen i install this system cuz it dropped bout an inch with my current system.... im guessin itll go down 1 1/2 - 2 inches... but no idea...
anyways from my understanding the base model cars have a stiffer spring and higher ride height.. my car is a EX i was wondering if i bought back springs for a base model civic and put them in the back would this bring me back to my stock EX height.. or even lower.. i juss dont want it higher then wat my EX is standing rite now. .. for the front i was thinking of gettin drop springs to give the car a lower front end for a nice stance... opinions on the back spring? |

If you plan to only lower the front, then leave the EX springs in the back for a level stance. However, the rear will be more prone to bottoming out due to the lower spring rate in the rear.
Si springs in the rear would sag less due to the higher spring rate but are not any lower than the EX springs so they would give you a lot of rake if you lower the front. Your best bet would be the HFP kit for a manual Sedan. This has a lower stance and higher spring rate all around. Hope that helps. |
