With the Comptech/Pro Kit probably not since the drop is only like 1". You just need to get an alignment after you install the springs of course. I'm running the Comptech's myself & the drop is perfect IMHO.

The shocks are a wear item. They will always blow eventually ( not instantly, just over time). Lowering springs just makes this process happen sooner rather than later.
Yes the shocks will blow, when is another question. Yes you can just replace the shocks. By the time they are shot at, there will hopefully be some aftermarket replacements valved more aggressively and better suited for lowering springs.

finally i can post in this thread....i am about to drop all the pics and comparison of wheels
