Shop asking me $100 to install springs

Hi all,
Some shop is asking me $100 to install my Tein S-techs springs :)
Does it sound expensive? OMG, I don't want to pay almost the same price that i paid for the springs only for installation :)

sounds about right. thats what most shops would cost to do that, but its not that difficult search for the DIY and id suggest to give it a shot. get some one to help u though.

100 bucks to install is pretty damn good compared to the 150-200 around here.

Wow danggg.. I didn't kno it'd be that expensive...
Tein S-Techs.. $140.. Having a shop install it.. $100.. Finding a DIY and Doing It Yourself.. Priceless and saves you some extra mod money

Well it might be too hard for him to install the springs. That's why he wants it installed by a shop. DIY is great but not for everyone.

* Ask a friend to help you.
* Read Manual.
* Label everything.
* Look at the parts.
* Get/Rent equipment.
* Try to be familiar with what's it called.
* Post here if you have questions before/during/after the install.

It will be confusing at first and it might take you a whole day or even a week. If you really can't, then might as well go to a shop that somewhat knows what a spring is (Oh yeah trust me there are dumb so-called shops out there).

That's a very good deal. If you're not up to doing it yourself, $100.00 is cheap. That is, of course, if you think the shop is competent..

Yes, the guys is my friend, and said thats the best that he can do :)
I think I'll just do it, because he has a shop, lift and everything.. I'm installing my CAI tomorrow.. and every other mod was done by myself.. but this one requires the "spring compressor" , which could be hard to use, find etc.. And its really cold to do that in the parking lot :)
Thanks guys!

$100 is right. If anyone is paying more than $200 for a full suspension, then you are not getting a good deal.

I got my full HFP suspension installed at a Honda dealer for $184.

Thumbs up

Do it yourself and make sure it's done right. I don't want to pay someone to do mods to my car for me. I'll pay for another mod and do it myself

Got my Skunk2 camber arms in yesterday - will be posting a DIY if taking pics wont slow down the installation.

$100 dollars is a darn good price. The install isnt terribly hard, its just frustrating, especially if you don't have the right tools. It took me and Ayenoc about 5 hrs to install his springs, and we had a lift and an impact gun.
