What could cause caster to be so far off other than an accident???

Front passenger side caster is supposed to be 7.0.

Immediately after lowering the caster is now 3.5 and there is no caster adjustment. Every-1 I speak too about this are baffled that the caster is this far out of spec.
Given that when you adjust your subframe you are only going to gain +or- .5.

thanks

Something is either bent or bound.

OR

Did you make sure the upper bearing plate (or spring hat) was installed correctly (where the strut assembly actually bolts to the unibody)? There's a certain way in which it is supposed to face.
