Hahahaha, Thats true an alignment should take no longer than 15 minutes, if the guys know what he is doing.

and a suspension intall 7 hours WTF, these aren't V-Dubs, these are hondas. My little brother with a fractured clavicle took off my front struts out of my old DC2 in an hour(he was bored and wanted to help with the suspension mod, he did it behind my back).

**** the stealership, good for nothing assholes.

Hey exbauer, can you tell me what dealer you're using and in what state? I want to tell my dealer about this and ask 'em why they charged me so damn much. I doubt they'll give me a credit or anything, but at least I can confront them with some solid competitive numbers and ask them why they raped me so bad.

Good luck with your install! I'm looking forward to the pics.

Thanks man. Just for the record, my paperwork shows:
"Install HFP Suspension Package, Hours: 7.50, = $592.50"

So, it was actually 7.5 hours they billed me for!

I'd let them know that other dealers have done it in less time and that they have two options - refund some of the money they stole or never see you back to buy a car there or get service work done (except warranty - they hate that since Honda determines what they get paid). Probably wouldn't bring it up until they do the alignment check "again."

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. If the desk jockey gives me the runaround, then I'll ask to speak with the manager and I may also ask to speak with the mechanic who did the work (my paperwork shows the mechanic's ID number) - I'd really like to know what he was doing for 7.5 hours.

Despite the drama with the dealership, I'm really enjoying the new suspension! I blasted through a little roundabout in my neighborhood last night at nearly 40mph and the car just ate it up.

just done installed the HFP kit..it took me almost 8 hrs taking break along the way..and i like to take my time...

it's real easy...i'm a caveman..i mean if i can do it..there shouldn't be any reason that you can't...the way i look at it if you can read simple instructions you can do it.

as for warranty doing it yourself...by comparision oem and HFP look identical..no way those peeps at the dealer will know that you did it yourself..

anyways now just gonna wait until the suspension to settle..:)

I ordered the kit from College Hills Honda last Saturday and it arrived Thursday.

Yesterday, without any effort, my buddy and I installed the HFP Si Sedan suspension bits in about 3 hours. Subtracting time for mixing kamikaze's and black russians, we could have easily done the job in factory book time.

In my opinion, the ride is only marginally stiffer than stock. (Which is quite a comfort to my aging butt.)

what specs did they use for your alignment? i called college hills honda and there isn't a specific specs for the si sedan with hfp. i also called around to several dealers and that is the same response.

Must be an optical illusion--yours looks lower than the white one a couple pages back. Street slant, perhaps? Either way, that's a good look, and you don't have the HFP body kit to make it look even lower.

He's got 18" wheels and I think that's the difference. My white sedan (pics posted a few pages back) is on 17" wheels.
