It will probably vary with the dealer, the best thing to do is email them and ask. (If they don't know, thats probably not a good sign)

My dealer quoted me $592 for the install which includes an alignment. This seems pretty steep to me. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now - I really want Honda to do the install, but I know I could get it done much cheaper elsewhere.

Well, I dropped my car off at the dealer this morning for the HFP suspension install and they just called me and told me the car is ready! They're charging me $592 for the labor and they said this DOES NOT include an alignment. They said the car does not need an alignment. I thought this was strange since all the threads I've read here suggest you should get an alignment after replacing the suspension. Oh well, I guess I'll just trust Honda for now. I know I probably paid too much, but ah well...it's a done deal now. I'll post before/after pics and my initial impressions later tonight. Stay tuned...

You got f-cked and they are full of shit about not needing an alignment. More than likely, they don't have a rack and send their cars out for alignments.

Yeah...$665 for the parts + $592 for the install = $UNHAPPY WALLET!

Good luck with your kit!

Yeah, you're probably right, I got screwed. I seriously need to get some tools and learn how to do some of this work myself. I plan to talk to my dealer some more about the alignment issue when I pick the car up later tonight.

I only drove about 5 miles from the dealership to my house in rush hour traffic, so I didn't get to really test out the suspension much, but here are some initial impressions. As soon as I pulled out from the dealership, I noticed the increased stiffness of the suspension. It's not uncomfortable or harsh, but it's totally noticeable in a good way. I had to take a sharp loop to enter the freeway and as I cut through this corner, I couldn't believe the difference I felt - there was no detectable body roll at all and the car just felt pinned to the road. There's a HUGE difference compared to the stock suspension and I knew right then this whole project was worth it. As I finished the drive home, I became aware of the lower ride height - felt lower to the ground and more connected to the road like my old Integra used to feel. I love it! No regrets at all!

Regarding the alignment issue - my dealership told me they put the car on the rack and everything checked out. Therefore they didn't need to do an alignment.

Time for me to head out and find some twisties to play with!

That looks good, I wondering if it will lower a bit more when it settles.

Thanks for loading up pictures.

Thanks bro! Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it settles in. To me, it looks like the rear was lowered more than the front - I thought the reverse would be true.
