Camber Kit with HFP suspension?
Hey guys, I'ver been thinking about getting the hfp suspension package for my Si, but I don't know if I should get front and rear camber kits as well? On one hand, the geometry of the suspension is changing with the different suspension, so you would think a camber kit would be needed to get that straightened out. On the other hand, what if you bought your car off the lot with the hfp package on it, and as far as I know the dealer doesn't use camber kits---wihich also doesn't doesn't make sense because it doesn't seem like a dealer would sell you a brand new car with improper camber. So anyways, I'm kinda confused about the whole thing, let me know what you think. Thanks.

I believe from what I have been hearing, the HFP kit doesn't need a camber kit. It's designed to work without the use of those. The drop is extremely mild (.8 inches) ..but I've been hearing from several members from this board that it handles like a dream. So, don't like the height fool ya!

as taffysi said, it is just .8 inch..
within 1 inch,(some says up to 1.5 inches) u don't need to worry about camber kit.. but I just remember that the guys from honda had hard time to get alignment of my car.. when i installed HFP.. if your tires are worn out evenly.. it's ok but if they are not, got to get the camber kit. according to this, .8 inch doesn't matter. if u wanna make it(tires are gonna stick to the ground evenly) sure, get a camber kit.. |

the front is definately not needed.. as for the rear.. youll be fine.. its just an inch.. usually anything that surpasses an inch drop camber kits are needed maybe theyll be little very little camber.. but thats how honda comes out right off the lots.. for handling purposes so little camber is good! good luck and have fun with the set up!!

Personally it's up to you if you want the camber kits. I mean you don't have to but it's good you have one because with the HFP suspension, your alignment if not gonna but out of specs but you will have a little more camber and tire wear in the inside of the tire. With the camber kit you could put it back to stock settings and have even tire wear. Plus it's good to have one if you plan to change to coilovers in the future. I say get it. But you don't have to if you don't want to.
