Not trying to hi - jack your thread here. Think of it as a free bump........... anyways as far as the stock set up knocking over speed bumps, what is the remedy to fixing that? thanks

Same deal. Never happened until I put the Skunk 2 springs on, and it only happens occationally when I'm driving slow in a parking lot, or turning into a parking space.

Guys, if it is happening to stock cars then it is not a problem directly attributable to the after market springs. The springs brought out the problem but it didn't cause it. The best thing to do would be a trip to your dealer. They shouldn't say anything about your springs considering this is happening to unaltered Civics as well.

i just found out something ...

1st it was engine rocking
2nd it was a loose steering bolt under the car

and now i've realized the stock aero pannel at the back of the car rattles against something back there ... i took it off after i couldn't find the cause of a popping noise when i thought it was my sway bar or spring not seated right in the rear ...

what i noticed is that honda placed a piece of foam back there, on the pannel itself, to the side of it to prevent noie from lateral movement, but the foam started to wear away/ squish etc. and doesn't do it's job like before ... and with the stiffer ride it's easier to get that stuff to shake around and so the noise ...

i added another peice of sticky foam tape and the noise is gone from lateral movement ... but it was still there from vertical movement so i added a piece to the top of it then bolted it back down and now peace and quiet

easy fix.

it was clear to see that it was the culprit of the noise after i took it off ... i could see the wear marks on the plastic and on the metal is was hitting ...

may not be the same for you guys but it's worth a check if u have noise coming from the rear...

mine used to happen when i was just pulling out of my spot and hit a manhole or uneven road or something but usually when i was going slow...

and yeah the noise sounds like it's coming from the right rear ... and the right rear is the only place that has that foam ...
see on the left side of the pannel it's bolted down so it doesn't shake ...

left side .... bolt to top and side ...
right side ... bolt to top and a small piece of foam tape on the side

My FA5 made a knocking/popping noise as well. I took it into service 3 times. First time, they changed the entire left strut. Second time they retorqued all the bolts. Third time they called Honda corporation tech line and they said to install a rubber stop. They installed it but it still makes the same noise. Then they said that this "noise" is a characteristic of the 07 SI's.
