Are Camber Kits A MUST?

I just havea quick question, I have a R18 and if I was only going to lower my car by 1.3" rear and 1.4" front, do i really need to get a camber kit? if not, will the suspension mess up my tire dramatically?

They're not required, but I'd recommend them, at least in the rear. You shouldn't need them upfront. Just get a good alignment.

Yes and No...

I've been riding on non-corrected rear camber(S.Tech's) for a while now and I don't see any rapid wear on the inside of my rear tires. Though I don't believe 5k~ miles is enough to tell.

That being said I am still going with the CorSport camber arms... I get paid tonight @ midnight

hmm.. gold or silver.........

Yeah, as was said, if you don't mind rotating your tires or having a little uneven tire wear then you don't need it.

I've considered going with the gold. Dunno why, but I find anything silver too plain for me. Even if I'll never see it.

I have dropped 1.4 ft 1.3 bk on Progress and mine are wearing on the inside. I was in the same boat, debating on a camber kit. But after looking at the rears, I need the camber for it.

I'm dropped on sportlines, they're about a 1.6 inch drop all around, and I don't have a camber kit... Rotating tires ftw.

If you get a set of coilovers though, isn't it pretty much a given that you need the camber adjusters? And would you need to get them front, and rear? I've long wanted a set of Teins with the EDFC, but lots of the things I've read here say that there's all this extra stuff you need to do to get the coilovers to work right. Is it just better to go with the HFP suspention, and take all those extra things out of the equation? I'm just curious for myself.

i was told by a local shop that the front camber would also be a good idea since our cars are FWD and most of the power is up there.
how that relates to it... i have no clue.
but why not dish out the $30.00 for two bolts for ease of mind.
as for the rear, why does it gotta cost more than the springs themself?!
I think once spring comes along, I'll slap my s-techs on and ride without a camber kit for a while to see how it is.

Yes...its needed IMO, you can get better handling from a car with real alignment and stock suspension, then from a car with a crap alignment and aftermarket suspension with crappy struts, shocks.

So i guess the best way it to get cambers for the rear, and get a great alignment and wheel rotation every oil change will be good.

You don't need to rotate the tires if you get a camber kit.
