Noise From My New Rims

I got new 18" rims last week... and after I installed it, I took it for a spin... I noticed that it makes a sound... like a wind sound... i dunno how to describe it..

is it just the new tires? or its unbalanced?

thanks

My sister's car had this noise.. I'm running 40's on my car.. and I do not have that noise... I'm fairly positive you need some hub centric rings.. you may want to look into those... I'm pretty sure they put those on when I got my wheels/tires and they sound like stock.. maybe a little louder when running over the things in the middle of the road and bumps but other than that its fine :]

It could just be the tires. A stiffer, lower profile high-performance tire can be louder and sound much different then your factory all-season tires that were designed to be quiet and have a softer ride.

All that is is Tire noise, some tires are louder then others. The only way to fix that is to get tires that have a tread pattern that doesnt make as much noise

i think you can check the wind noise of tires on tirerack.com.
i know my parada spec-2s were very loud but i got used to it after a while and now the stock tires on my si are very quiet
